Approached to create a logo for the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region's Understanding the Early Years program in Regina we discussed the requirements for the logo with the people responsible for the program, as well as what the goals of the program are.
UEY-Regina is a research driven program, at the core is a long-term study of pre-school age children in Regina, Saskatchewan that will provide insight, education, and direction for community based and other organizations with regard to the patterns and needs of the study group. Our task was to capture some of these aspects in a logo design.
Working with the central concept of nurturing and a group of children representing the stages of development, several drafts were created, and with further direction from the UEY - Regina program members we finalized a logo design and produced several different file formats. Delivering the final files on CD-ROM ensured that there was a possibility for a full range of application uses, website use to letterhead and even large scale signage using the included vector format files was now possible.
The above image is a reduced size and quality from the original vector format and is the property of the Understanding the Early Years - Regina, and the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.
